We are a group of Veteran railroaders (certified locomotive engineers, conductors/switchmen) that have banded together from class 1, 2, carriers with more than 20 plus years of experience for everyone. Safety and Veteran railroaders make 3 Step Railroad Services your alternative to on demand facility, industrial/intra-plant railcar switching and railcar storage service (locations throughout the country). Our company also offers the staffing of other railroad crafts.

Staffing:
We provide certified railroad locomotive engineers and conductors for temporary as well as permanent placement
Our team-members are abreast of the regulations and always carry current certifications. (FRA CFR-49 Parts 240 & 242)
Every employee of ours has been put through rigorous training including tri-annual retesting, simulations, ride-alongs and are assertively held to the expectations of complying with current safety regulations.
Staff Duties:

Ensure safe movement of train

Locomotive inspection

Proper use of safety equipment

Follow all directions

Manipulation of throttle, brake and other controls

Apply and release handbrakes

Appropriate handling of line-switches, coupling cars and lacing air hoses
-
Ability to work a non-standard 40-hour work week, in ALL weather conditions

Any and all railroad assigned duties
Storage:
3-Step Railroading Services provides storage (brokerage) of railcars to and from locations throughout the country.
We provide third-party railroad switching services so the facilities we accommodate have a more cost-effective means of operating
